Everything You Need To Know About the Hood County Stampede

The Hood County Stampede is back, and it’s shaping up to be one of the most exciting events of the year in Granbury.

Mark your calendar for Saturday, May 16th at Reunion Grounds, where one arena will host some of the best bareback riders in the world. This isn’t a multi-day rodeo—it’s a one-night-only experience, which means the energy is higher, the competition is tougher, and every second counts.

This year, the Stampede will feature the Top 36 riders in the PRCA World Standings, all competing for prize money and a custom rifle. These aren’t just talented athletes—they’re the best of the best, bringing elite-level competition right here to Hood County.

🐴 What to Expect

From the moment the first chute gate opens, you’re in for a fast-paced, high-energy show. Bareback riding moves quickly, with one ride after another, keeping the crowd engaged the entire night. Expect loud cheers, heart-pounding moments, and a crowd that’s fully invested in every second.
