FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
GRANBURY, TX – The Hood County Stampede is proud to announce that our 2025 charitable efforts will benefit Be An Angel DFW, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of children with special needs.
Since its inception in 1986, Be An Angel has worked tirelessly to enhance the quality of life for children with special needs by providing adaptive equipment, hearing devices, respite care, support services, and programs. Originally founded by a volunteer parent in Houston to secure a wheelchair for a student in need, the organization has grown exponentially, now serving over 6,000 children across Texas through programs such as its Christmas Gifting Program. In January 2022, Be An Angel expanded its reach to North Texas with the launch of its Dallas/Fort Worth chapter, bringing vital resources and support to our communities, including Hood County.
As champions for children and the future of our communities, the Hood County Stampede is thrilled to support Be An Angel’s mission to empower children with disabilities to live life to the fullest. Proceeds from our 2025 charity rodeo on May 24th and this year's Diamonds & Denim Gala, tentatively scheduled for October 4th, along with private donations received throughout the year, will directly benefit Be An Angel DFW bolster their ability to serve children and families in North Texas.
Nate Burger, Treasurer on the Board of Directors with the Hood County Stampede shared, “When we met with some of the team at Be An Angel, we could feel their deep passion to serve this otherwise underserved population of children and their families. Their initial outreach working with Granbury Independent School District (GISD) made it evident that they are committed to serving our area.” Nate went on to say, “With the established reputation the Hood County Stampede has built in the community over the last eight years, we feel that this collaboration will only serve to amplify their local outreach and initiatives. By aligning our 2025 programs with Be An Angel it allows both organizations to effectively serve its mission while making the biggest impact.”
By partnering with Be An Angel DFW, the Hood County Stampede aims to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children with disabilities, and their families, in our community, ensuring they have access to the tools, programs, and resources they need to thrive.
